Beudy Uchaf
Beudy Uchaf is a converted barn just outside a village called Adfa, in Powys. It's on a track off a country lane, about 30 yards down from where my house is, so I'm nearby if you need anything.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's nicely done. The conversion was recent. There are oak floors, beams, things like that. It's warm.
You'll need a car. The views are what you're here for, really. It's quiet. The garden looks out over fields and hills. You can bring two dogs.
If you want to get out on the water, Kingfisher Kayak and Canoe Hire is on the River Severn nearby. For something a bit different, there's an off-road karting place about half an hour's drive away, near Llandrindod Wells.
Facilities: It's all on one level from the parking area, so the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There's a washing machine, parking beside the barn, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can put up a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For planning trips, the Visit Mid Wales site is useful. The National Trust has a few properties within an hour or so, like Powis Castle.
