Llwyn Coppa Barn is in Adfa, near Newtown. It’s an 18th century stone barn we restored ourselves. It’s on its own, down a private drive off a lane. The views are good, out over the fields towards the Kerry Ridgeway.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has a family bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. That means the finish is good, with proper Welsh oak floors and a lot of original beams left in. The doors are all Suffolk latches, which we made here. It feels solid.
You can bring two dogs. The place is surrounded by farmland, so there are walks straight from the door. It’s very quiet here.
It’s a good spot for exploring Mid Wales. Newtown is about seven miles for shops. The Powis Castle gardens are about a 25 minute drive. For a bigger day out, the coast around Aberdyfi is just under an hour. The Visit Wales site has plenty of other ideas.
Inside, there’s a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We’ve got a cot and highchair if you need them. There’s parking right outside. The entrance is level and wheelchair accessible.
