The Hideaway
The Hideaway is in Cefn Mawr, near Newtown in Powys. It's a detached, single-storey place, so it's all on one level. You're on your own up here with the fields. It's quiet. We renovated it in 2020, so it's new inside.
It's for two people. One bedroom and one walk-in shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped. It's designed to be accessible, so the doorways are wide and there are no steps to get in. The floor inside is level.
It's open plan. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a patio outside with a hot tub. The view is of fields and hills. You get the sun in the afternoon.
Newtown is about two miles down the hill. There's a big Tesco, a few pubs that do food, and some other shops. It's handy. The river runs through it.
For a day out, Powis Castle is about twenty minutes by car. The gardens are the main thing there. The Elan Valley reservoirs are a good half hour drive west for walking. If you fancy England, Shrewsbury is just under forty minutes drive. It's a proper market town with old buildings.
Facilities: There's parking right outside. Wi-Fi, TV, bedding and towels are all included. It's fine to bring one dog. The hot tub is on a timer for safety, so it turns off at night.
