The Hideaway
The Hideaway is a small single-storey house, separate from any others. It's on a slope above Cefn Mawr, so you get a long view over the fields from the back. It's very quiet here.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It was redone a few years ago so everything's new and works properly. It's all on the ground floor, no steps inside, and the entrance is level from the parking spot. The shower is a walk-in type.
There's a hot tub on the patio. It's there if you want it. The patio gets the afternoon sun.
You're two miles from Newtown. That's where the supermarkets are, along with a few pubs and places to eat. The theatre there is quite good. The main reason to come here is the quiet and the walking, not the town nightlife.
Powis Castle is about twenty minutes' drive. The gardens are the main event. The National Trust page has the details for visiting. Further afield, you can get to the coast around Aberdyfi or into the Shropshire Hills in under an hour.
It says it's a 5 Star place. That means the fittings and finish are high quality. There's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and the bedlinen and towels are provided. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's parking right outside.
