The Cwtch is my place near Cefn Mawr. It's detached and single-storey, so all on one level. You look straight out over fields.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, but with an ensuite bathroom and then a second separate shower room as well. The 'cwtch' thing is a bit of Welsh wordplay, it just means a cosy nook. The main feature is the wood burner in the middle of the wall between the bedroom and the living room, so you see the fire from both sides.
There's a hot tub on the veranda off the bedroom. It's private. You can book spa treatments in a separate building on the farm if you want, but that's entirely up to you.
It's a 5 Star place, so it's well-equipped. You've got a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and your own parking. The bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You're quite remote here. The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in Newtown. Newtown is a good market town for groceries, a few places to eat, and it has a theatre and some galleries. It's the main hub.
You're right on the border. Oswestry and Shrewsbury in England are within half an hour. For walking, the National Trust has a few places nearby like Powis Castle. The Visit Mid Wales site is useful for planning. Further into Wales, the Elan Valley lakes are about a 40 minute drive.
