The Cwtch

The Cwtch is in Cefn Mawr, up a little lane. It's a single-storey cottage so it's all on one level, which is handy. It's detached, so you're on your own out here. The main thing is the view. It looks out over fields and hills. It's very quiet.

It's for two people. One bedroom. There's a bathroom and a separate shower room, which is unusual. It has a 5 Star rating. It's been done up to a high standard.

The wood burner is in the middle of the main room, between the living area and the bedroom. It heats both sides. There's a big slipper bath in the bedroom itself. Outside the bedroom doors there's a veranda with a hot tub. You can book treatments at the on-site spa if you want, but you have to arrange that separately.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.

We can take one dog. There's an enclosed patio area.

The nearest shop and pub are in Newtown, about two miles away. Newtown has a few supermarkets, pubs, and places to eat. It's got some galleries and a theatre. Other market towns like Welshpool and Shrewsbury are within a half hour drive or so.

For walks and history, you're close to the Welsh border. The National Trust and Cadw have places nearby like Powis Castle. The Severn Valley and the Shropshire Hills aren't far if you want to get out properly.
