Cwm Corn Barn is near the village of Dolfor in Powys. It's a converted barn, so it's big and open inside. It sleeps nine. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and everything's in good order.
The best thing is the view. It's completely rural, looking out over fields and hills. You get that from most of the windows. There's an enclosed garden and patio. And there's a hot tub, which is good after a day out walking.
Inside, it's spacious. The stairs are open tread, the kind you get in a barn conversion, so just be aware if you've got little ones. We've put a stairgate at the top. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi and parking for a few cars right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
The nearest pub that does food is about two miles away in Betws Cedewain. It's a proper village local.
Newtown is four miles away. It's on the River Severn. There are shops, a few restaurants and pubs, and a theatre if you fancy it. For a day out, Powis Castle near Welshpool is about a half hour drive. The gardens are spectacular. The Gregynog Hall grounds are closer, maybe ten minutes, and they're good for a woodland walk.
You're right in the middle of walking country here. There are footpaths from the door. If you want to see red kites, the feeding station at Rhayader is about a 40 minute drive. The Visit Wales site is useful for finding more things to do in the area.
