The Scotch Arms Mews is in Brampton, just over the road from the pub it's named after. It's a big stone semi-detached house, attached to another holiday let, and it sleeps fourteen. Seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's why it gets a 5 Star rating, because it's all ensuite.
It's set up for groups, really. There's good parking, a garden to the front, and a woodburning stove in the living room. Everything's included, bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
The location is good for getting out. Brampton itself has shops and pubs a minute's walk away. Talkin Tarn Country Park is a couple of miles out for walks or a bit of sailing. Lanercost Priory is nearby, and you can walk parts of Hadrian’s Wall from there. It's about a twenty minute drive into Carlisle for a bigger town, and you can be at the edge of the Lake District or over the Scottish border in half an hour.
You can bring one dog. They've listed local fishing and a golf course nearby, too.
