Garth Cottage
Garth Cottage is in Brampton. It's ours, but you get it to yourselves. It's attached to our main house, Garth House, but it feels private. The garden and patio are yours. There's parking.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's been done to a high standard. It's comfortable.
Everything is on one floor, which is good. The layout goes kitchen, dining room, then living room, and finally a conservatory. It flows through.
It has things like a big TV, a voice-controlled hi-fi system, and comfortable beds. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. Outside, there's a hot tub.
The town centre is a short walk away. There's a shop, pubs, and restaurants about 500 yards from the cottage. Gelt Woods is close by for a walk. You can store bikes in our locked garage if you ask.
For days out, Hadrian's Wall is right on the doorstep. The National Trust has good information on it. The Lake District is about a 30-minute drive south. If you head north, you're in Scotland in under an hour.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels included. Sorry, no pets.
