Moat View is a one bedroom cottage in Brampton. It sleeps two. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well finished. The name comes from the view from the upstairs window, you can see the town's old moat.
The living space is open plan with a kitchen, dining area and sofa. It's all on one level. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. The stairs are quite narrow and steep, which is normal for these old town buildings.
You can park your car right outside the door. There's also a little bistro table and chair by the front door if you want to sit outside.
You're right in the middle of Brampton. The main street with shops and pubs is a one minute walk. There's a Co-op for groceries. The pubs do food.
Talkin Tarn Country Park is about ten minutes drive away. It's a good spot for a walk around the lake. For history, you're close to Hadrian's Wall. Birdoswald Roman Fort is a 15 minute drive and you can walk a proper section of the wall from there.
Carlisle is 20 minutes by car. The castle is worth a visit. The Lake District is about a 40 minute drive to places like Keswick. If you go the other way, the Solway Coast and the beaches in Scotland are about half an hour away.
