The Drake Studio

Set in the picturesque 6 acres of grounds of Hinton Grange, a former hotel now lived in by the owners. The Drake Studio is a semi-detached cottage with ground floor accommodation. Unique to Hinton Grange, all accommodations come with an open log fire, why not relax in the evening with a glass of wine watching the flames dance and crackle? In addition most of the owners’ 6 acres are open to guests with only a small section privatised. All guests have 24 hour access to not only the games room, which hosts a full sized snooker table, table tennis, giant jenga and darts board, but also the laundry room with free use of the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The property lies just off the M4, yet is surrounded by open fields and countryside, and being on the Cotswolds Way footpath, is ideal for walkers and cyclists. Virtually next door is the 17th-century Dyrham Park, a grand baroque mansion with sweeping views towards Bristol, and also the venue for many concerts and summer events. The property is only 9 miles to the centre of Bath, with many famous attractions including Pulteney Bridge, the abbey, Roman Baths, Aquae Sulis Spa and the sweeping Georgian crescents. Bath is a lively, year-round destination, with museums, galleries, cultural events and unique shopping.

Further afield is the start of the Cotswolds and within a short drive are the historic cities of Bristol, Wells and Salisbury. The coastal resorts of Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon and Burnham-on-Sea are within an hour’s drive. There is a coarse fishing lake and a championship golf course, open to non-members, just 4¼ miles away. Although a small hamlet, Hinton has a very popular, award-winning pub, and a number of supermarkets are an easy 5-mile drive away. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
