Surrounded by landscaped gardens, in 41 acres across two lakes, it is situated in a quiet part of the development with the children’s adventure playground, indoor games room and tennis courts only a short walk away.
On-site facilities are excellent and are available for guests to use. Guests can fish, coarse and fly, on Isis Lake and those with non-motorised boats, windsurfer, paddleboard or kayak can set sail on the neighbouring sailing lake, ’Windrush’. Water-skiing, wakeboarding, and inflatable riding is within walking distance at the excellent Lakeside Water-ski and Wake. These water sports are available between March and the end of October, after which the lakes become a haven for a wealth of waterfowl to spend winter in their protected environment. The Lakeside Restaurant and Bar is also within walking distance, adding to the ease with which visitors can relax and unwind with a great meal. The pretty neighbouring village of South Cerney is a gentle stroll or bike ride away, with pubs, takeaways, a post office and a village shop. More amenities are available in Cirencester, a 10 to 15-minute drive from the lodge. Here, there is an array of places to eat, drink and shop as well as places like the Corinium Museum, which showcases the town’s Roman heritage and the magnificent Bathurst Estate which is home to Cirencester Polo Club. Further afield, attractions include Chedworth Roman Villa, the Cotswold Wildlife Park, and WWT Slimbridge Wetlands Centre.
