Emerald Lake House
The Emerald Lake House is the perfect retreat to take away the stress of daily life, kick back, relax and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. Emerald Lake House is part of the popular Cotswold Water Park and sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms with two stylish bathrooms. This self-catering waterside property is a favourite with families and friends who love not only the restful views of the lake but also being close to fantastic amenities like three tennis courts, adventure playground and games room. This sophisticated lodge oozes comfort and style. The contemporary open plan living area is on the ground floor where patio doors lead to the delightful decking area where you can enjoy the uninterrupted views over Isis Lake, al fresco dining, or a nice glass of wine.
Newly refurbished in 2021 The Lake House is fitted with luxury furnishings, free-standing taps designed with marble finishes and state-of-the-art kitchen with integrated wine cooler, the tasteful interior design has no expense spared, ensuring an opulent, comfortable stay. The living area features an illuminated gin bar, stocked with glassware for enjoying a drink on the deck. With plenty of entertaining space this property is perfect for a family gathering, but not suitable for parties. Surrounded by landscaped gardens, in 41 acres across two lakes, it is situated in a quiet part of the development with the children’s adventure playground, indoor games room and tennis courts only a short walk away.
On-site facilities are excellent and are available for guests to use. Guests can fish, coarse and fly, on Isis Lake and those with non-motorised boats, windsurfer, paddleboard or kayak can set sail on the neighbouring sailing lake, ’Windrush’. Water-skiing, wakeboarding, and inflatable riding is within walking distance at the excellent Lakeside Water-ski and Wake. These water sports are available between March and the end of October, after which the lakes become a haven for a wealth of waterfowl to spend winter in their protected environment. The Lakeside Restaurant and Bar is also within walking distance, adding to the ease with which visitors can relax and unwind with a great meal. The pretty neighbouring village of South Cerney is a gentle stroll or bike ride away, with pubs, takeaways, a post office and a village shop. More amenities are available in Cirencester, a 10 to 15-minute drive from the lodge. Here, there is an array of places to eat, drink and shop as well as places like the Corinium Museum, which showcases the town’s Roman heritage and the magnificent Bathurst Estate which is home to Cirencester Polo Club. Further afield, attractions include Chedworth Roman Villa, the Cotswold Wildlife Park, and WWT Slimbridge Wetlands Centre. The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is practically on the doorstep with its numerous charming and picturesque villages, while Blenheim Palace and Cheltenham Racecourse are close enough for a fun day out.
