Puddleduck House
A fantastic property in the heart of the popular village Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds. Set behind private gates is this three-bedroom house which enjoys a well-equipped kitchen/dining room, a spacious living room overlooking the garden, a super kingsize bedroom on the ground floor, which is perfect for guests with mobility problems as it’s situated next to the walk-in shower room, and further two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor.
You’re just a short walk to the village centre which is full of attractions and local amenities including Birdland, a model village, model railway, the Cotswold Motoring Museum, the Cotswold Distillery, Bourton Lakes Fishery, a perfumery workshop, a pottery, a children’s indoor play barn, a swimming pool, a maze, and a good range of specialist shops. The village is also known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to the shallow River Windrush which runs through the centre and hosts an annual "football in the river" game which is great fun to watch although expect to get wet! The Cotswolds is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it won’t take you long to see why, with honey-coloured cottages and meandering lanes, it’s simply stunning! Nearby towns and villages well worth a visit include Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Burford, and Chipping Norton with its charming theatre.
The city of Gloucester, with its magnificent cathedral and 14th-century tomb of King Edward ll, is within easy reach, as is the Regency city of Cheltenham, with the famous Cheltenham Racecourse . National Trust properties are abundant, including Snowshill Manor and Woodchester Park. For horticultural enthusiasts, there is Westonbirt Arboretum, Kiftsgate Court and Hidcote Manor.
