Peregrine House
A spacious and substantial holiday home at the award winning Lower Mill private estate. Set on the banks of Somerford Lagoon, it offers stunning views across the largest lake on the estate with direct access to the water. Designed with a totally inclusive and accessible interior for those less able members of the group. The ground floor has been thoughtfully re-configured with larger doorways, ground floor bedroom and luxurious wet room to accommodate those in a wheelchair.
Luxuriously appointed over three floors, on the ground floor you will find a snug single bedroom along with a ground floor wet room which has been adapted with a wider entrance for easy wheelchair access. The social hub of the house is also on the ground floor, open plan living and dining hub with three sets of sliding doors to soak up the views. A top of the range kitchen will keep the foodies happy, totally kitted out with the ultimate kitchen companion Alexa Show for those all-important recipes. Chat and chop whilst your nearest and dearest sit back and relax on the comfy sofas. When it’s time to dine, gather at the large dining table with the backdrop of lakes and a cosy wood burner, it really does set the scene for the most wonderful dining experience. Should you want to make the most of time with your friends and family, why not call in the culinary help in the form of a personal chef to create a menu and serve you tasty plates. An extensive decking area outside offers unfettered views across the lagoon with direct access to the water. Rain or shine, enjoy the views from the six seater hot tub, garden seating and a gas BBQ.
On the first floor you will find a family shower room and three further bedrooms, a triple bunk room, a twin and a kingsize master en-suite. Two of the bedrooms also have direct access to a private veranda with uninterrupted views of the lake, wonderfully relaxing at sunrise with a silky Nespresso. On the second floor is a private suite featuring a kingsize room, landing with a desk and chair, and a bathroom for long soaks in the tub. All sleeping quarters offer guests the very best in luxury linens and sumptuous beds for the ultimate night’s sleep. No expense has been spared at Peregrine House to ensure guests have a fabulous stay. Pack your best slumbers, grab snacks and snuggle down on the comfiest sofas in front of the fire for the ultimate movie marathon night on your supersized TV. Be sure to bring your game faces too, as the luxury abode features a Nintendo Wii gaming console in the downstairs snug. Being right on the water’s edge dinner alfresco is a must, fire up the barbecue and create a sizzle whilst you drink your pre-dinner aperitifs.
In addition to the facilities at Peregrine House, guests can experience and enjoy the estate’s ArtSpa, revive and indulge with indoor and outdoor heated pools, eco-pool, sauna, steam room, gym and treatments by arrangement. On the estate there is a tennis court, nature trails and cycle tracks, playground, lake equipment hire and restaurant with farm shop for stocking up yummy produce. Shop, pub and restaurant on-site for essentials. A firm favourite with old and young is paddling across the lagoon to spot nocturnal beavers and otters on the Sunset Adventure Safari, rounded off with toasting marshmallows on the fire.
