Bear’s Cottage is an enchanting Grade ll listed 17th-century cottage, oozing with character and charm, and sits gloriously within the rural village of Bretforton. Comfortably accommodating four guests within two bedrooms, it’s the perfect choice for couples, friends and families looking for an ideal base to explore the Cotswolds and all it has to offer. As you step through the ancient arched doorway, you are greeted with traditional flagstone flooring, impressive beams and that timeless feeling. On the ground floor the open plan dining area leads through to a cosy sitting area with Freeview TV, DVD Player and Fibre 2 Broadband creating the perfect social space, with the benefit of gas central heating and a gas stove for those chilly evenings. There is also a modern kitchen with everything you may need, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer for added touches of comfort. Throughout the property, there are little nods to times gone by, which add a sweet and rather heart-warming touch. On the first floor, you will find the shower room, offering a deluxe shower with underfloor heating and heated towel rail. You will also be greeted by two double bedrooms, both with lovely views over the garden, adorned with quality linens and the comfiest Millbrook mattresses for the ultimate night’s slumber.

Bretforton is a vibrant, historic, rural village with pretty, thatched cottages around the village green. As you meander through the village you may even hear the sound of the local silver band, the last remaining silver band in Worcestershire which plays at all the local events. The village has all the amenities you will need including the famous, award winning 14th-century National Trust Pub ’The Fleece’, ’ which is highly regarded by the locals and tourists alike for its real ales and food. The pub is a frequent pitstop for travellers from all over the world!

Should you need to stock up on provisions, why not shop at the friendly, local community shop, stocked with lots of tasty produce from local artisans. Situated on the northern edge of the Cotswolds you are perfectly positioned to explore the pretty villages with just over a 10-minute drive from the elegant, bustling towns of Broadway and Chipping Campden with honey coloured cottages and houses lining the streets. Chipping Campden is the perfect place to embark on walking activities on the famous Cotswold Way with routes that will appeal to all levels. If something more leisurely is on the agenda, then why not peruse the cobbled streets and marvel at the antique shops and traditional pubs and cafes?
