Seaside Cottage is actually one of three identical bungalows on the site, all in a row. They're called Seaside, Shoreview, and Beachcomber. You'd be in Seaside. They're single-storey, so everything's on the ground floor. That makes it straightforward if stairs are a problem.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well equipped, not old-fashioned.
The main thing is the view. You look right out over Loch Duich towards the Five Sisters of Kintail. It's quite something, especially in the evening light. You get your own little garden area with that view. There's a shared slipway if you have a boat.
There's a lot of wildlife. Pine martens come round regularly, we put food out for them. You might see seals or otters in the loch. There's a shared bird hide down by the water's edge.
The cottage itself is open plan. Kitchen, dining, and living area all in one space. It's got a washing machine, WiFi, TV. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
The local shop is about a five minute walk, maybe 300 yards. The pub is a bit closer. Kyle of Lochalsh is about seven miles away. That's where you cross to Skye. It has shops and a good seafood place. Dornie, with Eilean Donan Castle, is about a twenty minute drive up the loch.
If you're walking, you're right on the doorstep for the Kintail mountains. For a big day out, the Falls of Glomach are inland from Dornie. They're one of Britain's highest waterfalls.
