Ashburn Cottage is up at Sallachy, on Loch Long. It's detached, so no neighbours on the walls. You're about fifty yards from the sea loch, looking straight across the water at the mountains. The view is the main thing.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and everything works, but don't expect anything fancy. It's a solid base.
The cottage has a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or a dog, but we don't take pets, sorry. Bedding and towels are included, and we've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
You're a few miles from shops and pubs, so you'll need to drive. Eilean Donan Castle is about three miles down the road, it's the one you see in all the photos. You can be on the bridge to the Isle of Skye in under half an hour if you want a day trip.
Outside of that, you're really here for the landscape. You can walk from the door. There's fishing, and places for mountain biking. The beaches further up the coast are quiet and really clean.
