Loch Shore Cottage

Loch Shore Cottage is on Loch Long. It's detached, right by the water. You get a clear view down the loch from the garden.

It sleeps six, but there are only two bedrooms. They're set up with bunk beds and a double, so it's good for families or friends who don't mind sharing. One bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and works fine but it's not luxurious.

There are two living rooms, both have a multi-fuel burner. The sun room is where you'll probably end up, it's got the table and the best view. The garden is just grass and gravel, but you can sit out there.

Eilean Donan Castle is a few minutes' walk up the road. You can see it lit up at night from the cottage. The local shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in Dornie.

You're well placed for getting about. Plockton is maybe twenty minutes drive. The bridge to the Isle of Skye is about half an hour. If you're brave, the road to Applecross, the Bealach na Ba, starts not far from here. Glenelg is close too.

If you're here for the outdoors, you've got it. You can fish off the shore. There's hill walking straight from the door. The Kylerhea otter hide is a drive away, but we've seen otters from the cottage windows before.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking for two cars right outside. No pets allowed.
