Loch Shore Cottage is near Camas Longart in the Highlands. It's detached, and it sits right on the shore of Loch Long. The views over the loch are very good.
It sleeps six with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.
There are two living rooms, both with a multi-fuel burner for a fire. There's also a sun room with cane chairs, which is the best place to sit and look at the view.
The garden goes down to the loch. You can often see otters and seabirds from there. Eilean Donan Castle is just a few minutes' walk up the road. They light it up at night, and you can see it from the cottage.
A shop, pub and restaurant are about a mile and a half away in Dornie.
You're in a good spot for exploring. Glenelg and Plockton are a short drive. The road to the Isle of Skye starts just over the bridge. If you're feeling adventurous, the Bealach na Bà pass to Applecross is nearby. It's a single-track road with steep drops, so check the conditions if you're thinking of going that way.
There's plenty to do: the Glenelg Brochs ruins, Attadale Gardens, boat trips from Kyle or Plockton, and local fishing. The National Trust for Scotland Kintail estate is right here for walking. For wider planning, VisitScotland's NC500 guide is useful.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
