Fairways Retreat 3

Fairways Retreat 3 is one of a set of lodges on the Cottingham Parks estate, just outside Hull. It's a detached wooden lodge for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well finished.

The main things are the decking with a hot tub, and the shared health club. The hot tub is private, just for your lodge. The health club has a decent sized indoor pool, a sauna, steam room, and a gym. The pool opening times vary, it's best to check when you're there.

You can bring one dog. They need to be on a lead outside your lodge because of the golf courses. There's a lot of grounds to walk in, but you can't go on the fairways themselves.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV and WiFi. Everything's included: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels. Parking for two cars right outside.

As for the location, it's quiet. Cottingham village is about a ten minute drive. It's a nice place with a few pubs and shops. Hull city centre is about fifteen minutes by car. If you've not been, The Deep aquarium is worth a visit.

For days out, Beverley is lovely, about twenty minutes away. The Yorkshire Wolds are right there for walking. The coast, places like Hornsea or Bridlington, is about half an hour's drive.
