The Milking Parlour
The Milking Parlour used to be exactly that, a milking parlour. We converted it a while back. It's on our farm at High Hunsley. It's for two people.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. It's one bedroom with the bathroom right next to it. Everything is on one level, no stairs to worry about. It's open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area are all together. The sofas face the wood burner, which is nice in the evening. There's a washing machine and the towels are included.
You get your own enclosed garden bit with a patio. It looks out over the fields. You can bring dogs, up to two.
You can walk straight out from the door. We're rural, so it's quiet. The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in North Newbald. They do food. If you've brought a horse on holiday, by prior arrangement, there's about five miles of off-road hacking around the farm.
Beverley is about seven miles. It's a nice market town, the Minster is worth a look. York is about 40 minutes by car if you fancy a day out there. The coast, places like Hornsea or Bridlington, is within half an hour's drive for a beach day. There's local fishing if that's your thing, and a golf course nearby.
