Pond View Cottage

Pond View Cottage is a stone cottage in Brantingham. It’s opposite the village green and pond. It sleeps three people, in two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom.

It’s got a five star rating. That means the fixtures and fittings are good. There’s underfloor heating downstairs. The bathroom has it too. The stairs are oak and lead up to a small galleried landing with a desk. You can see the green from there. There’s a wood burning stove in the living room.

The kitchen is modern. Outside, there’s a south-facing garden with a built-in brick barbecue, a table and chairs. The garden is enclosed. There’s on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger.

You can bring up to two dogs. As part of the booking, you get a daily, private slot at a local enclosed field to let your dog run. That’s included.

When you arrive, there’s a hamper with some local food. All bedding and towels are provided. There are bathrobes.

The village pub is about 200 yards away. It serves food. The nearest shop is about three quarters of a mile.

Beverley is close by. It’s a nice market town with a minster and a racecourse. Hull is about 12 miles away. It has museums, The Deep aquarium, and the Humber Bridge. For walks, the Yorkshire Wolds Way is accessible from here. The Coast to Coast cycle route passes nearby.

If you’re driving, Burton Constable Hall is nearby. Castle Howard, the North York Moors National Park, and York are all within about a 30 to 45 minute drive.
