The Cow 'Ouse is a single-storey barn conversion on our farm at High Hunsley. It's a studio, so everything's in one room. The bed's at one end and the living space at the other. There's a separate bathroom, of course.
It sleeps two, and you can bring two dogs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's part of a group of seven barns, so sometimes there are other people about, but you've got your own patio area.
It's a quiet spot. You look out over the farmyard and fields. Good if you want to be somewhere peaceful.
The facilities list says it's "luxury". I'd say it's very nice and clean, with things like a washing machine and your own parking space. All bedding and towels are included.
There's a shop and a pub about two miles away in the village. They're both fine.
If you're bringing horses, we can arrange that. There's about five miles of off-road hacking around the farm. You'd need to talk to us first to sort the details.
Beverley is about a seven mile drive. It's a nice historic town with the Minster. York is about forty minutes by car, which is an easy day trip.
You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds here. It's good walking and cycling country. The Yorkshire Wolds Way runs close by. The coast at places like Hornsea or Bridlington is within half an hour if you fancy the seaside.
