The Hideaway
The Hideaway is in Hotham village. It's a summerhouse in our garden. You get your own bit of garden with a table and chairs. It's quiet back there.
It sleeps two. One room with a kingsize bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small, but it's clean and it works. The living space is all open plan. There are French doors you can open right up.
The kitchen is small, but it has what you need. There's a TV with Freeview. The bed is at one end of the room.
You can bring one dog. There's parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and bike storage if you need it.
There's a pub in the village. South Cave is about two miles away, they've got a few shops and a farm shop. Good for walking and cycling from the door.
If you want to go further, Beverley is lovely, about a 20 minute drive. The historic centre of York is about 40 minutes. Hull is about half an hour, they've got The Deep aquarium and good theatres. For stately homes, Burton Constable and Burton Agnes Hall are close by.
For nature, Bempton Cliffs is about 40 minutes up the coast. Spurn Point is a bit further. Useful links: City of York Council for York visitor info, and RSPB Bempton Cliffs.
