The Hedgehog Pod Llangadfan

The Hedgehog Pod is in Llangadfan, up in the hills in Mid Wales. It's one of a few here, but it's detached so you're on your own bit.

It's a small wooden pod, sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, more like a nice cabin than a hotel room.

Outside, you've got your own wood-fired hot tub. It takes a few hours to heat up, but it's good once it's ready. There's a covered bit with a barbecue and a picnic table, so you can cook and eat outside even if it rains.

The view is the main thing. It's just fields and hills. At night, there's no light pollution, so you can see the stars really clearly.

In the village, there's a shop, a post office, and a petrol station. There's a pub that does food about a mile away.

Lake Vyrnwy is about a ten-minute drive. It's a reservoir, really nice for a walk around. The Glyndwr's Way path runs nearby if you want a proper hike.

Welshpool is about a half hour drive. You can go to Powis Castle there. Shrewsbury is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes. If you fancied the coast, Barmouth or Aberdyfi are about an hour's drive.

Facilities: bedding is included, there's a TV, a shower, and parking right outside. No pets. You can book it with the other pods if you're coming with more people.
