Llofft Stabal is part of the old stable block on our farm here in Llanerfyl. It's one of two loft conversions. Your place is the bigger one.
It sleeps three in two bedrooms. Everything is on one level, with no steps or stairs to get inside, which we've been told is handy.
The place has a four-star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Being a former stable, the rooms are open plan with a high ceiling. There's a wood burner for colder evenings.
You have a small private patio area with a bench and a barbecue. It looks out over the farmyard and the valley. We're a working farm, so you'll see sheep and maybe the tractor coming and going.
You can walk down to the river from the cottage. There's fishing if you have a licence. For a drink or a meal, the nearest hotel is about two miles away in the village.
It's quiet here. For bigger days out, Lake Vyrnwy is about a 20-minute drive. It's good for walking and cycling. Welshpool and the Powis Castle gardens are maybe half an hour. The Llanfair Light Railway is similar. Further north, you've got Coed-y-Brenin forest for mountain biking.
Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, all bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
