Lake Vyrnwy Luxury Pod
The pod is on our caravan site in Abertridwr. It's a five-star place, but it's still a pod. It's small and new, built in 2020, and it's just for two people.
You have the pod to yourself, it's detached. It's open plan inside, one room with the kitchen, bed and seating area all together. There's a separate bathroom with a shower. Everything you need is there: bedding, towels, a TV, wifi, heating. There's parking right outside.
Outside, there's your own little patio area with a barbecue. The site itself is 27 acres. You can walk or cycle around it. There's a fishing lake here too.
The big thing here is Lake Vyrnwy. It's about a mile and a half away. It's owned by the RSPB. The walking around there is fantastic. You'll see all sorts of birds if that's your thing. There's a shop two miles away, and a pub and restaurant about a mile and a half.
It's very quiet. If you want to switch off, it's a good spot. If you want to explore, it's mid-Wales. Snowdonia is under an hour north. Visit Mid Wales has some ideas. The RSPB Lake Vyrnwy site gives you the specifics on the reserve.
