Llety'r Saer is a lodge in Hirnant, near Penybontfawr. It's detached, so you're on your own. It looks out over farmland.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and both have their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner for the evenings and a hot tub outside that's just for you. The garden is enclosed.
You can bring a couple of dogs. There's a field you can use around the lodge, but sometimes there are sheep in the next field, so you need to keep an eye on them.
The kitchen has what you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking and an electric car charger.
Penybontfawr is about a mile and a half away. It has a pub that does food and a village shop. There's a good butcher five miles away in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant.
You're right between the Berwyn Mountains and Hirnant Forest. Lake Vyrnwy is about a 15 minute drive for walking and a cafe. Lake Bala is maybe 25 minutes, you can go sailing there.
For a day out, Oswestry and Welshpool are within half an hour. Shrewsbury is about 45 minutes. The edge of Snowdonia is up on top of the Berwyns. From there you can get to places like Bounce Below or Zip World in under an hour.
