Llety'r Saer
Llety'r Saer is near Penybontfawr in Hirnant. It's a detached lodge set at the end of a track, looking out over farmland. You get your own enclosed garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's new, clean and straightforward. Everything works. The kitchen's got what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a wood burner for cooler nights, and the hot tub is private to you.
The garden's enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs. You're allowed two. There's a field next to the property you can use, but keep dogs on a lead as there can be sheep nearby.
Penybontfawr is about a mile and a half away. There's a pub that does food and a village shop. For a bigger shop, Oswestry is about twenty minutes by car. You can get supermarket deliveries.
You're right between two big lakes. Lake Vyrnwy is about a fifteen minute drive. Good for walking and birdwatching. Lake Bala is maybe twenty five minutes the other way. You can go sailing or kayaking there.
The Berwyn Mountains are on your doorstep for walking. Snowdonia National Park starts just over the top. For a day out, Blaenau Ffestiniog with Zip World and Bounce Below is under an hour. The coast at Aberdyfi is about an hour's drive.
In the other direction, you've got Shropshire. The Severn Valley Railway, Cosford RAF Museum, and Ironbridge are all within about forty five minutes. Powis Castle in Welshpool is half an hour away.
