Creyr Glas Pod

Creyr Glas Pod is a place we built ourselves in Hirnant. It's fully detached, so it's just you and a big field. The view is mostly farmland and hills.

It's a 4 Star pod, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It sleeps two adults in a kingsize bed. There's space for a travel cot or two if you've got little ones, but you'd need to bring that gear yourselves.

The main thing is the wood-fired hot tub. We get it up to temperature for your arrival so you can use it straight away. There's no light pollution here, so on a clear night the stars are something else.

Inside, it's all on one level with just a single step to get in. It's fully insulated and heated by a wood burner. We provide the firelighters, kindling, and logs for it. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included.

You're welcome to use the private field around the pod. One well-behaved dog is allowed, but they must be kept on a lead outside the fenced area as there are often sheep in the neighbouring fields.

The village of Penybontfawr is about a mile and a half away. It's got a pub that does food and a small shop. For a bigger shop, there's a good family butcher in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, about five miles away.

You're right between the Berwyn Mountains and Hirnant Forest. Lake Vyrnwy is about a fifteen minute drive for walking and cycling. Lake Bala is maybe twenty five minutes for sailing. The edge of the Snowdonia National Park is on top of the Berwyns. From there, places like Bala's mountain biking centre or Zip World are within a thirty minute to an hour's drive.

Shrewsbury, Oswestry, and Welshpool are all market towns within about forty minutes if you need more shops or a day out. The mid-Wales coast is roughly an hour away.

In terms of what's here, the list covers it: wood burner, parking, garden furniture, shower, WiFi. There's a washing machine you can use in our utility shed if you need it.

If you're looking at things to do, the Lake Vyrnwy website and Visit Wales have good information.
