Cae Bitfel is a pod near Llanwddyn village, up in the hills. It's in a big, enclosed field with views. You're basically in a field. You can hear the wind and the birds.
It sleeps four but it's one room. There's a proper double bed and a sofa bed. It has a kitchenette with basics like a microwave and a toaster. The shower is ensuite. Bedding is provided. There's a deck outside with furniture and a BBQ. The parking is right there.
It's glamping, so it's comfortable but simple. The toilet and shower are in the pod. You get WiFi. It's rated 4 Star.
You can bring one dog. They'll need to be kept on a lead outside as it's a working farm next door.
The main thing here is the location. It's very quiet. Lake Vyrnwy is just down the road. You can walk around it, or hire a bike. It's an RSPB reserve, so good for birdwatching. The RSPB Lake Vyrnwy site has details.
Within half an hour you can get to Oswestry for shops and cafes. The National Trust's Chirk Castle is about a 25-minute drive. The Shropshire hills are all around for walking.
It's off a single-track lane. The last bit is a farm track, so drive slowly.
If you need more space, you can book the pod next door, Cefyn Bach, as well.
