Brown Hare

Brown Hare is a shepherd's hut on our farm in Llangors. It's in a paddock with two other, identical huts. You get your own hut, but you share a separate kitchen shed and a shower room with the other guests. It's basic, but it's clean and it works.

The hut sleeps two in a double bed. There's a wood burner inside for heat. The kitchen has a gas cooker, a fridge-freezer, and a microwave. The shower room has a cubicle and it's kept clean. The rating is 3 Star, which reflects that it's simple and functional.

You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and hear the usual farm noises. The paddock is quiet and the skies are dark at night. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Llangorse Lake is about a ten-minute walk. It's the largest natural lake in South Wales. You can walk around it, or go paddleboarding and fishing. There are two pubs in the village and a shop.

For walking, you're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Pen y Fan is about a 25-minute drive. The Black Mountains are close too. Brecon town is a 15-minute drive for supermarkets and more pubs.

If you're interested in the history, the Llangorse Crannog is an ancient lake dwelling out on the water.

Everything is included: bedding, towels, electricity, and parking. There's a patio area with furniture outside your hut.
