Ty Olwyn Bach is a shepherds hut on our farm in Talybont. It's small, obviously. It sleeps two people. There's a double bed that folds down from the wall. The bathroom has a proper walk-in shower.
It's fully detached. You've got your own patio area with a table, chairs, and a barbecue. The views are good. You can see the Sugar Loaf and the Black Mountains from there.
It's a 34 acre working farm, so you'll see sheep. You can walk straight out onto the Usk Valley Trail from the gate. The Brecon Beacons National Park starts right here. At night, because there's little light pollution, you can see a lot of stars. It's an International Dark Sky Reserve.
The village is a five minute walk. Talybont has a good village shop and a cafe. There are a couple of pubs that do food. You can hire bikes there too.
For a day out, you can cycle along the canal path into Brecon. That's about five miles. Brecon has the usual things: a cathedral, a regimental museum, cafes, and shops. The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority website has walking routes. For historical sites, Cadw lists local ones like Tretower Court.
Inside, there's a combined microwave oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment, and WiFi. The bed is made up for you with bedding and towels. It has a 4 Star rating and is wheelchair accessible to the entrance and inside.
If you're coming with more people, we have other cottages here on the farm that can be booked together.
