The Apartment is on the ground floor of a Georgian house on a street in Brecon town. It’s not detached, it’s part of the house, but it’s all yours. The front door is level with the pavement, no steps, which is good if you have mobility issues or a pushchair.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s well-equipped and finished to a high standard, not just basic.
You’re right in the town. There’s a pub and a restaurant about fifty yards away, and a shop just up the street. You can walk to everything in Brecon in a few minutes. The cathedral is nearby, and the theatre, and the Royal Welsh museum.
The main thing is the location for the Brecon Beacons. You’re about nine miles from the foot of Pen y Fan. You can drive there in under twenty minutes, do the walk, and be back for a shower. The Black Mountains are on your doorstep too. There are walks you can start right from the front door along the canal or into the hills.
If you’re cycling, there are plenty of routes. BikePark Wales is about a twenty-minute drive if you want that sort of thing. Hay-on-Wye is sixteen miles away for the bookshops and the festival.
For facilities: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a small enclosed patio garden out the back. Parking is on-site, on the driveway.
