The Apartment
The Apartment is a ground floor flat in a Georgian house right in the middle of Brecon town. You can walk to everything, shops, pubs, restaurants, all in about a minute.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard, everything's new and works properly. Being a Georgian building, the doorways and ceilings are quite high, which gives it a nice feel.
The main thing is the location. You're right there for the town, but you're also nine miles from the base of Pen y Fan if you want to walk up the mountain. The Brecon Beacons National Park starts pretty much on the doorstep. You can walk straight out from the flat onto the canal path or into the hills.
Hay-on-Wye is about half an hour's drive for the bookshops. BikePark Wales is roughly twenty minutes away if that's your thing. For a longer day out, you can drive to the coast near Swansea or into Cardiff in under an hour.
Facilities wise: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The garden is enclosed. There's parking for one car on the drive. The whole place is on one level with no steps at the entrance, so it's suitable for wheelchair users. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
