Swn Y Nant

Swn Y Nant is near Battle, in Powys. It's a single lodge, not attached to anything else. You're basically in a field by a stream. It's quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bedroom downstairs has a big bed you can split into two singles if needed. The bathroom is downstairs too. There’s a shower and a two-person bath.

The main room is all one space, kitchen, dining, living. Big windows so it’s light. The patio doors lead out to a deck. The hot tub is out there, it's private.

We allow up to two dogs. There’s a ramp to get in the front door, taps outside for washing muddy boots or dogs, and we leave a little welcome pack for them. You can ask for a dog cage if you need one.

It's got underfloor heating you can control room by room. Washing machine, dishwasher, fast Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. There's even an electric car charger.

It's got a 4 Star rating. We try to be eco-friendly, so we use green cleaning products and leave you some local food to start you off.

You can walk from the door into the hills. Brecon town is about six miles away for shops and cafes. For a big walk, National Trust Brecon Beacons covers Pen y Fan and the main area. The Visit Wales Brecon Beacons site has more general info.

Within about half an hour you can get to Hay-on-Wye for the bookshops, or the Elan Valley for the dams and reservoirs. There's some local fishing and horse riding too, if that's your thing.
