The Cart House is in Merthyr Cynog. It's a small, quiet hamlet, really just a church and a few houses. The cottage is along a private drive opposite the church. We live next door in the Old Vicarage.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's all on one level and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner.
It's very rural. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is in Brecon, about eight miles away. You'll need a car.
If you're here for a week's stay, we offer a free half day bread making experience. We run a bakery. You don't have to do it, but it's there if you fancy it.
For walking, the Epynt Way is right on the doorstep. Brecon is eight miles east. You've got the cathedral, the canal, and the Brecon Beacons National Park right there. Builth Wells is eleven miles north, where the Royal Welsh Showground is.
Facilities wise: there's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking and a small garden area. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
