Upper Ffinnant
This is Upper Ffinnant. It's a stone farmhouse near Soar in Powys, about six miles from Brecon. The lane is quiet, but there's another cottage of ours, Chalgrove, about a hundred yards down the road. You can book them together if you need to.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. It's detached, so no shared walls.
The main thing is the view. It looks out over the fields towards the Black Mountains. It's the same view from both cottages, really. It's a good spot for watching the weather come in.
The stairs are typical old farmhouse stairs. They're a bit steep and turn a corner. Just something to be aware of.
It's very quiet here. You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Good walking straight from the door. For a proper day out, you can drive into the park or up into the Black Mountains. Brecon, Crickhowell, Abergavenny, and Hay-on-Wye are all within about half an hour. They're proper market towns with good shops and places to eat.
Inside, it's as you'd expect. TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding is included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog.
