Upper Ffinnant Soar

This is Upper Ffinnant. It's a stone farmhouse near Soar in Powys. Detached, with those views you get round here. You can see the other cottage, Chalgrove, about a hundred yards down the same lane. They can be booked together.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The style is traditional.

You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It's very quiet. The views are good all year round, if you like hills. For walking, you're in a good spot for the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. The Taff Trail is nearby too.

The nearest shop and pub are about six miles away in Brecon. Brecon has what you need. Other good towns are Crickhowell, Abergavenny, and Hay-on-Wye for books. They're all market towns with local shops. You can get a decent meal in the villages around here.

Within a half hour drive, you've got a few things. There are a couple of golf courses about ten minutes away. Dan-yr-Ogof caves are up the road. You've got castles like Carreg Cennen and the big one at Caerphilly. The Brecon Mountain Railway is a short trip for a different view. It's a Dark Sky Reserve here, so the stars on a clear night are something else.

For facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and parking. Bedding is included. You can bring one dog. It's available for Christmas.
