This is Ty Fferm Hen. It's our old farmhouse, about 500 years old. It's on a working farm of 34 acres. The views are across the valley to Sugar Loaf and the Black Mountains.
It sleeps four in one room upstairs. There's a double bed and two singles. Downstairs is open plan, with the kitchen, living area and a wood burner. There's a double sofa bed there too if you'd rather use it. The bathroom has a freestanding bath with a shower attachment.
Outside is an enclosed garden with a barbecue. You can park right there.
You can walk straight from the door onto the Usk Valley Trail. Because we're in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the night skies are very dark. If it's clear, you can see a lot of stars.
The village, Talybont-on-Usk, is a five minute drive. It’s got a really good village shop and a cafe. There are a few pubs that do food. You can hire bikes there too.
Brecon is about five miles away along the canal path if you're cycling. It's a market town with the cathedral, some museums, shops and cafes. For walkers, Pen y Fan and the main Brecon Beacons ridges are within a 30 minute drive. The Brecon Beacons National Park website has all the route information.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's the wood burner, the barbecue, and parking. It's a 4 Star rating. No pets, sorry.
The place is part of a group of cottages here. If you need more space for a bigger group, we can book a few together.
