Ty Afon
Ty Afon is in Talybont on Usk. It’s on the main street in the village, so you can walk to the pubs and the shop. You get a garden out the back. It’s enclosed, so it’s fine for dogs.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of those bathrooms are en-suites. It’s a 5 Star place, which means it was done up properly a couple of years ago. Everything is new and works.
The stairs to the top floor are quite steep. It’s two proper flights. Something to know if you’ve got older guests.
You can walk straight out onto the canal towpath from the house. It’s flat and good for cycling or dog walks. The Talybont Reservoir is about two miles away if you fancy a longer walk. For a bigger day out, Pen y Fan is there. It’s a proper trek up but the views are worth it.
Brecon is five miles away. It’s got shops, cafes, and a few restaurants. The Royal Welsh Regimental Museum is there if that’s your kind of thing.
Facilities are all covered. Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. There’s bike storage in the garden and a hose for muddy stuff. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.
