Torr Cottage Joppa

Torr Cottage is in Joppa, near Dalrymple in South Ayrshire. It's detached, on a quiet private road. You look out over fields from the garden.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, in very good condition. The layout is a bit different. You walk into the living room, then there's a small conservatory on the back that catches the evening sun. The kitchen is separate but leads through to a dining room with a stove.

Good parking. There's an electric vehicle charger. The garden is enclosed. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.

The local pub in Dalrymple is about two miles away, maybe a five minute drive. For a bigger shop, you'll want Ayr.

Ayr is about a fifteen minute drive. It’s a proper seaside town with a long beach, shops, and restaurants. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is on your doorstep for walking. If you’re into golf, Royal Troon and Turnberry are world famous courses, about twenty minutes away.

Other places nearby: Culzean Castle is fantastic, right on the cliffs. The grounds are huge and good for a walk even if you don't go in. Dumfries House is closer, maybe twenty minutes. Lots of grounds and things for kids to do. The Galloway Forest Park, which is a Dark Sky Park, is about a half hour drive if you want to go stargazing.

If you wanted a day trip, you could get the ferry from Ardrossan to the Isle of Arran. That’s about forty minutes’ drive to the ferry port.
