Trelaw is a detached cottage in Sinclairston, near Mauchline in Ayrshire. It's a farm cottage, so you're in the countryside. The garden is large and fully enclosed, which is handy. There's a hot tub, and we leave robes and slippers for you.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is spacious and practical. It's wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, but there's a step into the shower.
There's a private fishing loch on the farm you can use. You can paddle board on it too. If you've got dogs, there's an outside bath with a hot and cold tap to clean them off.
For kids, there's a cot, highchair, and some outdoor toys like a slide and table tennis. We leave a welcome pack for them. There are board games inside for rainy days.
The area is Burns Country. Robert Burns lived and worked nearby. You can visit Burns Cottage and the National Trust's Culzean Castle is about a 25 minute drive. It's on the cliffs and worth seeing. Dumfries House is also nearby, with big gardens.
The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away. It's a huge area for walking and they've got dark sky status for stargazing.
