The Grooms Cottage is on a quiet lane near Crosshill in Ayrshire. It's a detached cottage, and the owners live next door. You get your own garden and patio with a private hot tub.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, each with its own shower. That's handy if you've got a few people. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
The shared tennis court and croquet lawn are just over the fence. They're there if you fancy a game.
You're about a mile and a half from a pub that does food, and the shop is in Crosshill, about two miles away.
For walking, the Ayrshire Coastal Path is close. The River Ayr Way is nearby too. The Galloway Forest Park is about a 30 minute drive inland. It's huge, good for wildlife, and a Dark Sky Park if you're into stargazing.
Ayr is a short drive, a traditional seaside town. For golf, Turnberry and Royal Troon are both within half an hour. Culzean Castle is spectacular and worth a visit. Day trips to places like Glasgow, Stirling or Loch Lomond are all doable from here.
Facilities: it's got parking, including an electric vehicle charger. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
