Torcross Barn is just outside Tarbolton, in Ayrshire. It's a converted barn, so it's quite a big, open space inside. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so everything's in good order. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance, and there's parking right there.
You’re about a mile from the village, so there’s a shop and a pub within walking distance if you want. The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Ayr, Troon, and Prestwick are all close by for shops and things to do.
If you like walking, the Ayrshire Coastal Path is easy to get onto. The River Ayr Way starts nearby, too. For a bigger day out, the Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive. It's huge, good for wildlife, and it's a Dark Sky Park if you're into that. The Scottish Dark Observatory is in Dalmellington, not far.
There are a lot of golf courses around, including Royal Troon and Turnberry. Culzean Castle and Dumfries House are both worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
You can get to the islands like Arran or Bute for a day trip. Glasgow is about an hour away by train from Ayr. Loch Lomond is also about an hour's drive.
Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. There's a garden area. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
