Tranquillity Lodge
Tranquillity Lodge is on our smallholding near Ayr. It's a two-bedroom lodge that sleeps four. You can bring up to two dogs.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. There's one bathroom with a shower. The layout is open plan. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV. Parking is right outside.
The lodge sits on the River Ayr Walk. That's a walking and cycling path that goes from the sea to the source. You can join it from the gate. Our grounds are about five acres, so it's quiet. There's a private patio with garden furniture.
Ayr itself is a short drive away. It's a proper seaside town with a beach, shops, and that. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is on the doorstep if you want a long walk. For a swim, the beach at Ayr is about three miles.
If you like golf, Turnberry is nearby. Culzean Castle is worth a visit. It's run by the National Trust for Scotland. You're in Burns Country here, so you can see his cottage and the museum if that's your thing.
You can get to Glasgow or Edinburgh in about an hour for a day out. The ferry to Arran goes from Ardrossan, which isn't far. Loch Lomond is also within an hour's drive.
