Darnhay Milkhouse is near Mauchline in Ayrshire. It's a detached, single-storey cottage, so it's all on one level. The layout is open plan.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own shower room, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. There's underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. We provide the logs.
You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right there.
It's a rural spot, so it's quiet. The nearest shop, pub, and restaurant are about three miles away in Mauchline. The coast is about twelve miles.
You're right in the middle of Burns Country. Robert Burns lived in Mauchline. You can visit Burns Cottage and the museum in Alloway. The Brig o' Doon is there too.
For walking, the River Ayr Way and the Ayrshire Coastal Path are close by. The quiet lanes are good for cycling.
Galloway Forest Park is about twenty-five minutes' drive. It's a Dark Sky Park, good for stargazing if you get a clear night. Loch Lomond is under an hour. You can get to Glasgow or Edinburgh in about an hour for a day trip.
