Yonderton House

Yonderton House is on our farm in Hollybush, just outside Ayr. It’s a big detached house for groups. Sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom.

The rating is five star, so it’s comfortable and well-finished. There’s a big kitchen, a living room with plenty of seating, and a sun room. The games room is in the old garage. It’s got table football and a pool table.

One bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor, which is useful. The house is adapted for wheelchair access at the entrance.

You’re on a working farm. The views are across the fields to the Isle of Arran. The sunsets from here are very good. You can walk around the farm tracks.

The village of Hollybush is about two miles away. It’s got a local pub, a shop, and a restaurant. Ayr is about a fifteen minute drive. It’s a proper town with everything you need, shops and places to eat. It’s a Victorian seaside place.

Golf is big here. Trump Turnberry and Royal Troon are both within about twenty minutes drive. For walking, the Ayrshire Coastal Path is right there. It’s a long coastal walk with great views of Arran. For a day out, you can drive to Ardrossan and get the ferry to the Isle of Arran. Glasgow is under an hour away by car if you need the city.

As for facilities, it’s all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a wood burning stove. Outside there’s a patio with a barbecue, and parking for a few cars. You can bring up to two dogs. We can provide a cot and a highchair.

If you’re a bigger group, you can also book the cottage next door, Yonderton McGill, at the same time.
