Two The Stables is one of a pair of cottages on our property in Minishant. It used to be a stable block. You're welcome to walk around the grounds, there are paths by the river and through the woods. You can also use the tennis court if you fancy a game.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have their own bathroom, which is handy. We're rated 4 Star. It's comfortable. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in a utility cupboard.
You can bring two dogs. We ask that they stay downstairs and off the furniture. There's a highchair and a travel cot here if you need them.
The place is in the middle of Burns country. Alloway village is close by, where you've got Burns' Cottage and the Brig O'Doon. Ayr is about ten minutes' drive away. It's a proper seaside town with a racecourse, shops, and places to eat.
The coast is about five miles. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs along it if you like long walks. For golf, you've got plenty of courses nearby, including Turnberry. Culzean Castle and its grounds are well worth a visit.
You're within half an hour's drive of places like Troon and Prestwick. Glasgow is about an hour away if you want a city day. The ferry to Arran goes from Ardrossan, which is about forty minutes by car.
There's a small shop and a restaurant half a mile down the road. The nearest pub is about four miles.
