One The Stables Minishant

This is One The Stables, out near Minishant in Ayrshire. It's on our place, part of the old Victorian stables that we've done up. You get the whole garden area to yourself, and there's a tennis court you can use too. The place has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-finished.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. You can bring up to two dogs. The stairs are a typical stable conversion style, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep in parts.

You can walk straight from the door into the woods and down by the river. It's quiet. A small local shop and a restaurant are about half a mile away. The nearest proper pub is four miles, in Alloway. The coast and beaches are about five miles.

Alloway is Burns country. You've got Burns Cottage and the museum there. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is on your doorstep for long walks. You might see seals.

For golf, Turnberry is about half an hour's drive. Culzean Castle and its gardens are nearby, run by the National Trust for Scotland. Ayr is ten minutes away. It's a traditional seaside town with a racecourse, shops and places to eat.

You can get to Glasgow or Stirling in about an hour if you want a city day. The ferry to Arran goes from Ardrossan, which is also roughly half an hour.

Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Plenty of parking. You can store bikes.
