It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Being a converted farm cottage, the ceilings are a bit low in places. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
You've got your own garden and patio, and parking right outside the door.
It's a quiet spot, about three miles from the coast at Maidens. There's a good beach walk there that leads up into the Culzean Country Park. The views from the castle cliffs over to Arran are worth it.
You're well placed for golf if that's your thing. Turnberry is ten minutes away, and Royal Troon is about twenty.
Within a half hour drive you can get to the Galloway Forest Park. It's a huge area for walking. They also have dark sky status, so if it's a clear night, the stars are very good.
Culzean Castle is the main local attraction. National Trust for Scotland Culzean Castle. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs right past it if you want a proper walk.
Glasgow is about an hour by car, or you can get the train from Ayr or Prestwick.
Facilities: There's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if you need them. No pets.
