Scots Pine
Scots Pine is a bothy in Logie Coldstone, in Aberdeenshire. It's in the Cairngorms National Park. It's detached and off-grid, so it runs on solar power and rainwater. You're on your own there.
It sleeps four, but it's one open-plan room with a sleeping loft. So it's really one bedroom space and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, which is good for an off-grid place. They've got a wood-burning stove for heat. The stairs to the loft are a ship's ladder. It's fine, but you need to be steady on your feet.
You've got a private garden area. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the cabin. You can bring two dogs.
For things to do, you're right in the Cairngorms. Good walking and cycling from the door. Loch Muick is about a 25 minute drive for a walk round the water. Crathes Castle and its gardens are about 20 minutes away. There are a few whisky distilleries within half an hour if that's your sort of thing.
