Lodge B Dinnet

Lodge B is one of seven holiday lodges at the Loch Kinord Hotel in Dinnet. It's detached, so you've got your own space, and it backs right onto the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve. You can walk straight from the back door into the woods.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. The layout is open plan.

The lodge has a dishwasher, WiFi, a TV, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog.

You're free to use the hotel facilities, which is handy. They've got a restaurant and a bar. Sometimes it's good not to cook.

The Nature Reserve is part of the Cairngorms National Park. It's all wetlands, pine woods, and moorland. You'll see red squirrels and lots of birds. The main feature is the Burn o' Vat, where a waterfall pours into a big, bowl-shaped hollow in the rock. You can walk in through a gap in the rocks. It's quite something.

In the area, there's fishing and horse riding locally. There's a golf course nearby too. Ballater is about a 20 minute drive and has shops and places to eat. For skiing, you've got the Lecht and Glenshee, both within half an hour. Aberdeen is about 45 minutes away if you need a city.
