Cedar Cottage
Cedar Cottage is in Aboyne, on Deeside. It's a detached timber cottage. Sleeps two, one bedroom and one shower room downstairs. The main living space is upstairs, which is why they call it upside-down. It has a 4 Star rating.
It's right on the edge of the village green. You can walk to the shops and a couple of pubs in a few minutes. One's along the river, which is nice.
The garden is decent. There's a covered patio area off the kitchen, then it opens out. Gets the morning sun. There's a chiminea and a barbecue.
Upstairs, the living room has a big window looking over the green. There's a wood burner for colder days. It's a comfortable place to come back to.
Aboyne itself is good for golf and walking. The river Dee is here for fishing. For longer walks, you're right on the edge of Cairngorms National Park. Glenshee and the Lecht ski centres are within an hour's drive for winter sports.
Facilities: It has parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance and the bedroom are on the ground floor and it's wheelchair accessible.
