Dee Valley View Aboyne

Dee Valley View is in Aboyne. It's on a quiet lane off the main road. It used to be part of a small hotel, but it's a self-contained apartment now with its own front door. You get two floors, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy.

It sleeps four and has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The garden is shared with the other apartments but it's sizeable, with lawns that go right down to the River Dee. You can sit out there. There’s parking.

Aboyne village centre is a short walk. There's a decent pub, some shops and places to eat. The famous Highland Games are held on the green in August. There's a golf club and good walking along the river. You might see an osprey.

If you want to go further, you’re right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. Braemar and Balmoral Castle are up the road. For skiing, Glenshee and The Lecht are within about an hour’s drive. Aberdeen is about 45 minutes away for bigger shops or a day out.

Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a walk-in shower. No pets, sorry.
