Drumniall Cottage is on our farm, near Ordie in Aberdeenshire. It's detached, next to our house. It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's an old farm cottage, early 19th century. We've kept the character but put in things you need. There's a wood burner in the living room that works well. The place faces south, so you get the sun and a good view over the fields towards Lochnagar. You can see the mountain from the garden.
There's no television. We've never put one in. The WiFi is fine though, so you can use your own devices if you need to. There are a lot of books.
The stairs are typical cottage stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow. Just something to be aware of.
It's a working farm with sheep, so we can't allow pets. Sorry about that.
You're right out in the country here. The nearest shop is about three miles away. The closest pub and restaurant is just under three miles.
For things to do, you're well placed. Craigievar Castle is very close, a few minutes in the car. Balmoral Estate is a short drive away, maybe ten or fifteen minutes. You can walk there. The Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve is also nearby. For the hills, the Cairngorms are about a thirty minute drive.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, the wood burner, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are included.
