Drumniall Cottage is on our farm in Ordie. It's detached, but we live next door in the farmhouse. The setting is very quiet, just fields and hills.
It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. We've kept a lot of the old character when we renovated it, so there are low beams and the sort of things you'd expect. It's got a 4 Star rating.
There's no television. We find people don't miss it. The wifi is good though, so you can use a laptop or tablet if you want. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is efficient and heats the place well. Plenty of books on the shelves.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You get nice views south over the Deeside countryside. You can see Lochnagar from outside. Being on a farm, there are sheep in the surrounding fields, so we can't allow pets, sorry.
The local pub and a restaurant are about three miles away. The nearest shop is in Kincardine O'Neil, which is a bit further.
You're right in the middle of things here for getting out. Craigievar Castle is very close, just up the road. National Trust Craigievar Castle. Balmoral is only a few miles east. For walking, you've got Glen Tanar estate on the doorstep and the Cairngorms are about a half hour drive. Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve is also nearby if you're interested in that. For skiing in winter, Glenshee is roughly thirty minutes.
